My Story

“My journey as a business owner began with high hopes and the confidence of an MBA graduate. However, my first venture out the gate ended in failure. It was a hard lesson in understanding that knowing business theory isn't the same as mastering business ownership. I quickly realized that I didn't know what I didn't know, and I lacked the critical pieces of knowledge needed to succeed. Admitting my lack of understanding felt shameful, and I found myself isolated with no one to turn to for guidance.

As the business consumed all my energy, my personal life began to unravel. With a sick mother, three small children at home, and a marriage on the rocks, the stress and fear of failure were overwhelming. The business, instead of being a source of fulfillment, became a source of relentless pressure. I was desperate for it to succeed, but the cost was my own well-being and balance.

What I know now is that it doesn't have to be this way. Every business and its owner go through various phases of growth. If the owner doesn’t grow alongside their business, it inevitably leads to feelings of overwhelm, stress, and terror. Through my own struggles and triumphs, I've learned the invaluable lesson that personal and professional growth must go hand in hand.

Today, as a business coach and consultant, I am passionate about guiding others through their entrepreneurial journeys. I understand the complexities and emotional tolls because I've lived them. This is why I integrate life coaching into my business coaching programs. Balancing life and business isn't just a nice-to-have; it's essential for sustainable success. Whether I work with clients on their business strategies or personal growth, my mission is to provide the support and insights that I once needed.

Michelle Ezugwu MBA, CsD is a business consultant and coaching professional for both personal and entrepreneurial development. She has been at the executive/ownership level for for-profit and not-for-profit corporations. She leans on her expertise to guide business owners and entrepreneurs from where they are to the growth and success they desire. She lives in Arizona with her family.

“The Intentional Life Program for Decision Makers,” is designed to assist clients in living their lives with purpose and intentionality by moving beyond reactive living and stepping into a life of clarity, balance, and fulfillment. Focusing on the 5 M's of Intentional Living – Mindset, Motivate, Manage, Manifest, and Maintain – this program offers the tools, techniques, and support needed for personal growth and lasting change.
